Mass Media
and how our lives are effected by it.
I personally have not watched t.v or read a newspaper or listen to news on the radio in two years and I feel great!
We all seem to be unaware of how much attention we do pay to the media. As I go around all I can hear is how "bad things" are.
We are being programmed by the media, no two ways about it,some one is paid to go out and find all that is wrong with the world no matter how insignificant the story is and then it is spun for days and weeks on end. I wonder why so many "Believers" do not put into practice what their own Bible tells them?
Philippians 4 verse 8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
But we do the opposite, all day and every day, how "bad" the weather, this person or the other, political party or the other, or I don't like this, I don't like that, "Boy things bad aye?"
We are being distracted from remembering who we are and how powerful we are, but let me remind you:
John 10 verse 34
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
We must be reminded that where ever out attention goes, energy will flow to it.Why don't you take up my challenge, turn off the t.v, stop listening to news on radio or reading it in the newspapers for two weeks and see if you don't feel liberated.
We have forgotten our attitude of Gratitude, there is so much to be grateful for. Look for the best in EVERYTHING and watch YOUR world change!!
Like Bob Marley sang "None other than us can free our minds."
It's one thing to be aware and another thing entirely to focus on any given subject. Our thoughts are seeds and create our reality, so focus on what ever is good.
Let me leave you with this infamous quote from Hermann Goering a Nazi.
"Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on
a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of
it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people
don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in
Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the
country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to
drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist
dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no
voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.
That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked,
and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the
country to danger. It works the same in any country."
Unplug the signal!
