You can conquer almost any fear if you will only make up your mind to do so. As the title goes which one, love or fear? How much have we forgotten, and do do we really know our selves? In Genesis 11:7 God said let us go down and make man in our image and likeness. Wow that says a lot don't you think? Image and likeness! My interpretation is that my inner man looks like God and I can do all that God can do. "Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? "The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?" (John 10:32-36) So why do we fear? We fear because we look at external evidence, we look at what is, but what is, is basically coming through us. Nothing happen to us, it is all our doing. Remember the saying "Where your attention goes, energy flows."? Let me explain, we are like that from which we come from, and what is that you ask? We come from love, but we have been taught that we are separate from one another and that we must compete with each other, to be better, be number one. Nothing is further from the truth, we are admonished to love one another, all the religions of the world tell us that, be it Christian, Islam, Judaism, Hindu or what have you. LOVE is the main ingredient. Through my research on this subject I have come to understand that there are many ways in which we lose our connection with love. Complaining, we all do it in one form or another, when we complain we cut off the flow of love, and it's amazing how we over look how much we do complain. I personally have started to monitor myself and have caught myself many a time complaining. It's not real noticeable at first, but if you are honest with your self and diligent you will be amazed how many times a day we do complain. For instance, the other day I went and ordered lunch, I wanted lot's of vegetables and told the waitress as much, when my food came I had lots of veggies all right but most of it was onions ugh, so in my mind I started to complain, " why did they have to give me so much onions I wanted more broccoli. Did I tel the waitress this? No, so I slowly reversed what I was feeling, I gave thanks for the meal and instantly felt much better . Gratitude plays an important roll in allaying fear, fear really has a hard time entering in when we express gratitude. Gratitude and giving of thanks are high on the list when renouncing fear. We are love, that is our true identity, but unfortunately like I said earlier we have bought into the lie that we are separate from one another. We came to this Earth to be of SERVICE to one another, not a servant but to serve, it is in serving one another that we are truly happy. It is never to late to start, start TODAY, give every one you meet a sincere smile, they are free and not only will it make you feel better but the recipient also. If some one cuts in line in front of you bless them, love them for we are members of one another. Love more today, give thanks for all you have now. It is so easy to slip into a dark place where you may feel all alone, I know because it happened to me recently, I started to look at circumstances rather than at God who is love, and started to sink rapidly into a depression, for a while I talked the talk but forgot to walk my talk. I knew deep down way to do and it was hard for me to see the Light, so I called on a few friends and told the " Hey I am in a dark place right now send Light" and they did with out judgement. We need one another so do not be afraid to ask for help. I like the story of Peter walking on water, to me it meant that he walked above his circumstances, but the minute he looked down at them he began to sink. Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God is WITHIN us, that is why we can say "Thy Word is nigh unto me, even in my mouth." God is with in, HE is ALL and in ALL, read that again, HE is ALL and in ALL, really think about that before you complain or criticize another, for what ever we sow, we shall reap. So my brother, my sister, sow love today and watch how wonderful your life will become. Until next time. Namaste, Joy All Week long as I drove the streets of Nassau, the word Inspire keep't coming to my mind. H'mm Inspiration, what Inspires me, we that would be a pretty long list. I get inspiration from a number of sources. People often inspire me, how we are so resilient, how we can fall down and get right back up, how often times what hurts us makes us stronger and so many have used their pain to bring so much beauty into our lives. I am inspired by Nature and in all the form nature expresses her self, in a tree, sunset, sunrise a shell, a rock and in us. If we look there are so many avenues of Inspiration, a smile can inspire and gladden some down trodden soul, we never know how just one word can inspire some one. I am also inspired by the written word, poems for example, some times they come to me in a flash and guess what some times when I feel down I would go back and read one of my own poems and be inspired all over again. My Uncle Anthony "Tony" Roker was often my inspiration and quoted the poem below to me word for word and with a flair that was , well just Uncle Tony. Love you much Uncle and thanks for all your input into my life. Until we meet again. So enjoy this poem by Rudyard Kipling entitled: IF If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat these two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
